Q. DOES THIS REPLACE THE FORMER FRIDAY AND SATURDAY EVENTS?
A. Yes. The planned Saturday indoor banquet and the planned Friday no-host drop-in affair raised serious concerns among our classmates. So we have pivoted to provide a single event in a casual, festive setting which is largely outdoors and which is limited to just our classmates and guests. We will also have exclusive use of Lincoln Beer Company's spacious indoor taproom.
Q. WILL FOOD AND BEVERAGES BE AVAILABLE? AT WHAT COST?
A. All food and beverages will now be included with your ticket!
Choose what you like from quality food trucks. And a selection of craft beers, wine, soft drinks and bottled water will be available. All at no additional charge. All gratuities (food service, beverage service, and shuttles) are included.
Q. ARE ADVANCE RESERVATIONS REQUIRED?
A. Yes. This is a private event and only CVHS '70 classmates and guests with reservations will be admitted.
Q. DO I NEED HARDCOPY TICKETS?
A. No. Hardcopy tickets are not needed. If you are on the list of confirmed reservations we will have your name at the check-in desk. Wrist bands will be issued.
Q. WHAT DO I NEED TO DO IF I ALREADY HAVE REUNION RESERVATIONS?
A. Nothing. This reimagined reunion has a reduced, all-inclusive price of just $50. For those who already had reunion reservations, a rebate of the difference between what you have already paid and the new ticket price of $50 will be credited to your original form of payment (usually your credit card) in mid-October. Those who paid $99 will receive a rebate of $49 per ticket; those who paid $125 will receive a rebate of $75 per ticket. (Look for a credit from "EB Crescenta Valley.") No action on your part is required.
For those who needed to cancel their reservations, and did so by the deadline of September 30, a full refund will be credited to your original form of payment in mid-October.

Q. ARE TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE?
A. No. Reunion ticket sales ended on September 30, 2021. No tickets will be sold at the door.
Q. WHAT DRESS IS RECOMMENDED?
A. Dress casually for a festive evening, and be prepared with layers. This is principally an outdoor event, and fall evenings can get cold.
Bring a mask, which is required indoors where beer and wine will be distributed.
Q. ARE HOTEL ROOMS STILL AVAILABLE?
A. Yes. While the CVHS discounted room rate is no longer available, you can still book directly with the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Burbank. If you call them at 818.509.7964 and mention you’re with CV, you’ll still get complimentary breakfast and parking (which is usually $18).
Q. HOW DO I GET TO THE REUNION?
A. There will be continuous shuttle service between the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Burbank and the brewery. Departures every 10 minutes from 4:45pm to 10:45pm. Mask required. Available to all, whether staying at the hotel or not. (There is parking near the hotel.) Taking the shuttle is encouraged. There is also street parking around the Brewery and on San Fernando Boulevard.
Q. WHAT IS THE COVID-19 PROTOCOL?
A. LA County has just imposed a vaccine mandate for indoor areas of bars and breweries. Our venue, Lincoln Beer Company, is already enforcing this, and you will be required to show proof of vaccination and photo ID for access to the indoor taproom, where beer and wine will be distributed. Masks are required in all indoor public settings, including the taproom, the shuttle, and hotel indoor public spaces. Most reunion seating, food, soft drinks, and restrooms are located outside, where these restrictions will not apply.
Q. WHAT ARE PEOPLE DOING ON FRIDAY NIGHT?
A. The CV HOMECOMING GAME against Muir is on Friday at 7pm at Moyse Stadium (Glendale High School). While this is not a formal reunion event, a number of classmates have expressed interest in attending. Buttons will be given out to the first 50 Class of '70 attendees, and they will be roping off a section for us in the stands. Tickets will be available at the stadium for $5.00 for seniors (that's you!) and $8.00 general.
The school will be having a homecoming parade and performance in front of the stands starting at 6pm, so come early. Go Falcons!
Q. WHAT ABOUT FRIDAY AFTERNOON?
A. People will be gathering at the hotel lobby bar and outdoor lounge on Friday from 4:00 pm. |
